Keeping safe through the upcoming winter season

With the health and well-being of our guests and employees in mind, we would like to update you on our latest safety measures and actions for this upcoming season. Our comprehensive precautions however will not interfere with your well-deserved holidays. Perhaps now more than ever, taking a time-out by yourself or together with your loved-ones has become more important and we are as always comitted to making your stay memorable and as relaxed as possible.

Current measures

  • Cancellation policies

    In order to give you more flexiblity, we adjusted our terms for free cancellations for the entire winter season:

    27.02.21 - 10.4.21

    1 week prior to arrival free of charge. Within 1 week, no-shows or early departures will be charged 90% of the total room rate.

  • Cancellation policy included

    The county of Vorarlberg has insured all existing and future reservations this winter season 20/21. Your vacation is insured automatically for up to 3000 EUR per person both in the event of illness and in the event of officially ordered quarantine with you and your family members in the same household.

    The insurance provides full compensation for cancellations before the start of the trip. It is applicable in the event of Covid-19 illness or the authorities officially order a quarantine of guests or their family members in the same household. The only requirement is a cancellation invoice of the accommodation, a positive Covid-19 test or a quarantine order.
    The cancellation costs of the tourist accommodation for overnight stays and meals or for the booked lump sum for the period from 1.11.2020 to 31.5.2021 will be reimbursed. Up to 3,000 Euros per person will be reimbursed, i.e. up to 12,000 Euros for a family of four.

    In the event of cancellations due to increasing numbers of Covid-19 infections or travel warnings, as well as in the event of illness directly at the vacation destination, the cancellation conditions of the respective tourist accommodation apply.

  • What happens if I am unable to arrive?

    Are you unable to travel and check into our hotel because of the following reasons, we will grant a free cancellations and fully refund your deposit.

    - Closing of borders by the government

    - Closing of the hotel by the government

    - Closing of the ski resort by the government

    If you are unsure about travelling, we strongly advise to buy a travel insurance for your trip. They grant cover in the event that you, as the insured customer, cannot start or have to interrupt the travel, because you or a close relative suffer from COVID-19 symptoms. More information

  • Restaurant & gastronomic concept

    In order to keep a safe distance to other tables in the dining room, La Fenice, Stube as well as in the bar, we have re-arranged the seating plan and will not run the full capacity as known from previous winters. Hotel guests are also given priority for the lounge and bar and external guests are only allowed into the hotel with a valid reservation. At peak seasons, we will open a welcome desk for external guests and only allow external guests to enter the hotel if there is a free table available.

    Our much-loved breakfast buffet and the excellent dining facilities are here to stay:

    - Minimum distance of 1 meter between tables ensured

    - 3 Restaurants and open sun terrace with generous privacy for each table

    - Maximum of 10 people per table

    - Choice of room-service menu

    - External guests are only allowed at restaurants and bar until 10 p.m.* (as per governmental law)

    - Staff wearing face visors for your protection

  • Ski lifts & cable cars

    We know how much you are looking forward to skiing again - even if it will be slightly different than usual. The Arlberg ski runs will open again on Friday, December 24 2020 with the following safety measures:

    - You can purchase a ski pass directly at our reception, avoiding the public queues

    - Our ski & boot room has a direct access to Strolz Ski Rental services, making it easier and safer for you to rent the required ski gear

    - If you like to avoid closed cable cars, the Schlegelkopf-chair lift with open bubbles is located right next our hotel

    - Ski schools and lessons are availabe but are limited to 10 people per class

    - Apr├Ęs-ski as you know it will not be possible in Austria. Singing, dancing and standing will be avoided and guests need to be seated indoors and outdoors

    - Face masks must be worn in all cable car/lift buildings (entrance areas, ticket offices, etc.), in queuing areas and on all cable car/lift journeys (tow lifts, chair lifts, aerial cableways, monocable gondola lifts etc.). In addition to standard face masks, multifunctional scarves, buffs, bandanas, ski masks etc. can also be worn (mouth and nose must always be completely covered!). Multifunctional scarves are on sale if required.

    - In all cable car/lift buildings (ticket offices, WCs etc.) and cable car/lift entrance areas, there will be info points and signs providing information about the Covid 19 safeguards and sufficient hand disinfection facilities.

    - Employees in contact with visitors at the lifts and cable cars are tested for Covid-19 before starting work for the first time, and regular follow-up tests as well as testing on demand are planned. In addition, employees in contact with visitors are instructed to wear a face mask.

  • Hygiene & cleanliness

    - Daily cleaning and disinfection of all public areas

    - Disinfectant dispensers in all public areas

    - Use of anti-viral agents and specific cleaning products

    - Daily cleaning of rooms and suites with anti-viral agents

    - Daily natural ventilation with fresh mountain air

  • Spa & Wellness

    The entire spa area of about 1000sqm with multiple saunas, steam baths, relax loungers can be enjoyed without limitations:

    - Only accessible for hotel guests. No day spa accessiblity for external guests

    - Both pools are open and can be enjoyed without hesitation. Minimum distance & limited number of people

    - Spacious wellness area with sufficient space to maintain the minimum distance

    - Sauna & steam baths open - minimum distance & limited number of persons

    - Treatments & massages take place without restrictions

  • Our staff

    - Tested every 7 days for covid-19

    - Temperature controls of each employee every morning

    - Well prepared and trained team

    - Extensive hygiene training of all employees

    - Wearing face visors for your protection

  • Recommendation of conduct

    - Mandatory wear of face mask in public areas

    - Recommended minimum distance of 1 meter to other guests

    - Sneezing or coughing in the crook of your arm or in a handkerchief

    - Wash and disinfect hands several times a day

    - Electronic payments are preferred

  • Local doctors & testing facilities
    There are multiple locations to get tested (PCR-test) here in Lech. We are happy to register our guests and offer free transport to the test facilities. There are also two GP's available in Lech:
