Erwin Tinhof

Making wine is a calling. It's also in the blood at the Erwin Tinhof winery. For eleven generations. This is reflected not only in the experience, but also in the best locations. Many of them have been in the family for centuries - like the Feiersteig. This connects the organic winemaker closely with the soil. It creates unique wines. And it shows responsibility – towards the landscape, but also towards future generations. Erwin Tinhof has been committed to natural viticulture for a long time. The winery has been certified organic since 2012. The connection to the earth, the proximity to the vines and the harmony with nature are brought into the bottle at the Erwin Tinhof winery. This is where the wine ferments and matures, and where it can also be tasted and experienced under expert guidance. The tasting room not only shows the diversity of the vineyards, but also the soils of the Leithaberg.

Our aim is to create harmonious, mineral wines with elegance and structure. They are never cheesy, loud or flashy. Origin and character in a wine is what makes it unique and is important to us. The quality for this comes exclusively from the vineyard. Through organic farming we obtain balanced grapes, which provide us with an optimal basis for our wines. The maceration period and long lees storage of our grapes, which are only harvested by hand, give the wines depth and longevity.
